I’ll See You at Ebisu Studios v 1 by Nishu

I was really looking forward to this one since it seemed pretty unique and fun. I was surprised at how small it was. (I bought Funny Bone from the same publisher and it’s also very short.) To be fair, it does say on the website that it’s only 72 pages; I just didn’t bother paying attention. Anyway, it’s pretty easy to finish in one sitting and it was cute. I want to know what (if anything) happens so I will buy the second volume even if $11.99 for 66 pages does seem a bit steep. Oh well.
I don’t want to post pictures of the panels, but I did come across a bit of dialogue that I liked & wanted to share:
“This isn’t unique to this industry…but when people turn their dreams and hobbies into work, I think the reality of it can be especially disenchanting. People quit jobs for all sorts of reasons. But I’ve seen tons of people jump into this field of work because they love it…only to be disappointed by the reality they experience.”
