Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Collection by Arthur Conan Doyle

Finished April 26
Loved it. Have been kind of missing it ever since I finished it; it might not be the same since now the mysteries are solved but my memory is generally lousy enough that if I wait a bit, I can go back and reread and it’ll be almost as good as the first time.
There were several quotes/paragraphs I enjoyed and thought were incredibly romantic and beautiful but this one I had to keep:
It was worth a wound — it was worth many wounds — to know the depth of loyalty and love which lay behind that cold mask. The clear, hard eyes were dimmed for a moment, and the firm lips were shaking. For the one and only time I caught a glimpse of a great heart as well as of a great brain. All my years of humble but single-minded service culminated in that moment of revelation.
